Teri, tell us how you got started in bondage, please.

My first encounter with Bondage was in the U.K. in the 60's. I was dressed in a PVC raincoat, same material used for the gag, with my arms tied behind my back.

How did it feel?

At the time I thought 'how unfeminine' but I was definitely curious. After that session I was hired to do more bondage scenarios, fetish-type stuff which eventually led to being in fetish magazines such as 'Bizzarre' 'Pussycat' and 'Latex Nurse' all of which were British magazines, vynl was also very popular at that time. I was in my early 20's when this started.

The best time was again in my 20's dressing up in leather, latex and vynl was very pleasurable for me. My best experience was during a video shoot, I had to struggle with a male intruder and put up somewhat of a fight, anyway, the fight went longer than neccessary, because I was having such a good time and so was my partner I realised it was a real turn-on for me as well as for him, so now when we do a video we make sure there's a nice little struggle and fight scene.

That's an important point Teri. So many guys are afraid to let us struggle - it's part of the fun!

You're right, shevette. Now I know why I always enjoyed romping and wrestling with my brothers friends! No wonder they always asked my brothers if their sister could 'come out to play'!!

What was it like as a teen?

My first date was when I was 14 years old. I stole my best girlfriends Beau, (at least that's the way she saw it.) Truth was he had been chasing me for some time. I have had many lovers especially when I was between the age of 16-24, (I was a very promiscuous young Lady.) Sometimes I'd have two dates the same night, and went out with the first one that showed up and left the other one hanging, and my poor Grandmother (God Bless her heart) would be left to hand them some lame excuse I had told her to tell them.

That should teach them not to be late, giggle.

When I was a teen, I had some of the greatest times of my life. I went to parties, dances and movies, had lots of dates. There was so much to do in the town that I lived in. I saw one of the Rolling Stones first performances at one of out local Theatres, there were lots of quaint 'pubs. I lived right on the River Thames and was a dedicated swimmer, just had a great life.
I ran away from home when I was 14 (I thought I knew it all), drinking hard liquor at 15, had an abortion at 16(not proud of that at all), broke many a young mans heart, (not proud of that either), lived through the 'Hippy and Flower People era. I didn't see myself as either one, kind of did my own thing. By the time I was 18 I had been engaged three times (married one of them - of course it was the wrong one ha ha!!) At 19 I was very matured and ready for my commitment to modeling, and life got better.

I have never asked myself why I like bondage, I just do it and feel comfortable with it.

That seems to be the definative answer.

What do you like to get tied up with most?
Handcuffs, rope, silk scarves?

I think I prefer rope, although hand-cuffs are a favourite of mine too. I like the ropes to be nice and snug, but not to where they cut-off my circulation, also the ropes have to be neatly tied, I don't like any loose ends sticking out, looks tacky! Tether looks great too, I have one set of myself hog-tied with tether, it looks very effective.

Tether? i'm not sure what that is, but i like the way it sounds.

My favourite way to be tied, is a hog-tie, it really shows off the arched back and the taughtness of the legs and arms.

Please, tell us how Teri Martine got started in modeling.

Well shevette, I got started in modeling in 1968 working for a group of Amateur Photographers, after answering an ad in the local newspaper. I nearly died when I saw the guy that was running it, he was my Dad's best friend, but he promised he would'nt tell on me, however, I chose to tell my family about my new modeling career, which at that time was only the glamour stuff.

What was the first bondage magazine that you posed for?

I believe the first bondage magazine was the 'Bizzarre' several of them all came out at once, so it's hard to say. I guess I was very flattered to get my pics in a magazine although I don't think it affected me personality-wise.

The business has been very good to me, I've met lots of great, interesting people not to mention the pay is good. It's fun being in the bondage business, getting dressed up in cute, sexy outfits, the high heels and putting together a scenario. especially working with another female, we usually have a lot of fun tying each other up etc.

The Internet has had an impact on bondage magazines. Do you think this has been good?

Yes! Bondage has definetly been good for the magazines especially 'Harmony' and Bondage Life'. there are some good ones out there. It's been good for the models as well as the viewers.

There were no trade-offs, I've still kept busy with my personal life. I have managed to raise two wonderful Sons and spend quality time with them and still had time for myself.
I would definetly recomend bondage modeling to anyone (that has an interest in it,of course,) but make sure they know what is expected of them. Also to start with someone you know, who is gentle.

Did you hear that, guys?

I would like to think I could continue modeling, doing bondage as well as pin-ups for a few more years- it depends on my fans and how long the 'Bod' holds out, they may still prefer looking at the 'Young Teri' as opposed to the 'not so young Teri'!

i don't think there's a problem there...

Either way I have plenty of pics for both. I plan on doing C.D.s and a photo viewing gallery in the near future for mostly my International Fans, as some Countries are very strict (U.K. being one) as to what comes into the Country.

The day-in-the-life of Teri Martine is getting up around 6-7a.m. having my health-shake, going to the gym to excersize or walk (sometimes both) do a few jobs around my house, then spend the rest of the day, scanning and printing and in-between answering my e-mail and sending out orders, sometimes right on into the evening. I go out about 3-4 times during the week for lunch, dinner or shows with my friends.

People want to know about you. You should write a book!

I am trying to put a book together, I have had so many wonderful experiences, both funny, and a few harey ones too, it would probably make a something interesting to read. I have to do it before I forget too much! As I think of things I jot them down or put them on tape.

(Incidently I am having a ton of fun doing this...)

To be honest I can't remember reaching a peak of my Bondage career, as I had no idea that I was that popular. I guess it was a way of making good money, and getting away for a few days. It was not untill recently after starting my web-site, a year ago, that I realised how popular I was and apparently still am. I am elated that I still have so many admirers of my Bondage work as well as the pin-up stuff.

How did the web-site get started, Teri?

I started my web-site a little under a year ago on the advice of a good friend from California, who I modeled for !!!!!!! years ago in the U.K. He helped me tremendously.

I guess my mission would be to have people who enjoy Bondage, visit my site and get maybe new ideas - also for those who are shy about it to know that the Bondage I do is more of a loving, playful kind of Bondage. Nothing I do is hurtful, to myself or anyone else, I have always had strict rules about what I do and my co-workers are well aware of them and respect my wishes, although I did a shoot in the woods some years ago and the story we had planned called for 'Moi' to be hanging up-side down from a tree by one leg not two, it took me forever to decide if this was really necessary, well, I did it and happy that I did, because that set of photos have been one of my most appreciated works.
A fair amount of stuff is simulated, I don't allow any 'foreign objects' to be placed inside me, (of course if Brad Pitt or Pierce Brosnan were on the other end I could make an exception)!!

You mentioned earlier that you answer your own email. What kind of letters do you get?

I've had several Guys write to me, asking for advice on how to broach the subject to a loved one, who they would dearly love to tie or handcuff, and it's not a question I like to answer, unless the other partner is willing to participate 100% forget it, you could ruin a good relationship.

I would suggest, a way of gently expressing a desire to have your playmate tie you up so they are at your mercy, (kind of like throwing a dog a bone) they're either going to say "Hey, lets do it!" or "Are you crazy!"

In the case of the latter answer, you just laugh it off and say"Just kidding I saw it in the movies and just wondered what it would be like."

Then scream quietly on the inside 'cause it wasn't the right answer...
